Painter Drunen

Drunen has grown in rings. Around the centre are post-war terraced houses with softwood frames and fascias that have been through many maintenance cycles. Further out are the semi-detached homes of the 1980s, with large glazed panels, timber dormers and often a timber garage door. On the edges of the village are the newest developments, where the exterior is usually still fine but the interior needs finishing after a move or a renovation.

Each ring asks for something different from a painter: careful repair and repainting for the oldest houses, a preventive repaint for the 1980s homes before the frames deteriorate, and clean interior work for the new-build. We do all three.

Many of our international clients in Drunen contact us with a fixed window: the keys arrive on one date and the furniture on another. In that window we spray-finish walls and ceilings with an airless system for a seamless result, paint doors, frames and skirting, and hang wallpaper or renovation fleece. Colour is the question we are asked most in Drunen. The 1980s semis were nearly all delivered with white or cream frames, and many owners now want the dark anthracite that has become standard on new houses. It works well, but dark colours absorb more heat and need a paint system that can cope with it, so we advise on the product as well as the shade. All systems we use come from Sikkens, Sigma or Dulux and carry our 5-year warranty.

Drunen, Vlijmen and the fortified town of Heusden are close together, and we plan our routes accordingly. When several neighbours have their exteriors done in the same period, we can schedule the work in one run; ask us about it during the inspection. We also paint apartment buildings for owners associations (VvE), with the documentation the board needs.
