Airless spray finishing · Seamless

Airless spray painting in Den Bosch & Noord-Brabant

Some surfaces simply look better sprayed. Airless spray finishing lays down paint as a fine, even mist, so large ceilings, open-plan walls and kitchen cabinets end up with a factory-smooth surface that no roller can match. Kivits Vastgoedonderhoud sprays interiors across Noord-Brabant, with the masking, the advice and a 5-year warranty included.

What airless spray finishing is and when it is the right choice

How airless spraying works

An airless sprayer pushes paint through a very fine nozzle at high pressure, without compressed air, so it atomises into a mist that settles as one continuous film. There is no roller texture, no lap marks and no brush strokes, and the coverage is identical in every corner and on every floor. In the Netherlands this is the standard finish for new-build apartments and houses, and it is increasingly popular for renovations of older homes.

Kivits Vastgoedonderhoud is a registered Dutch painting and property maintenance company (KVK 94153965) based in 's-Hertogenbosch. Founder Leroy Kivits and his team communicate comfortably in English, so expats and international homeowners get the same clear advice, written quote and 5-year warranty as our Dutch clients.

When spraying beats rolling

Spraying wins on large, uninterrupted surfaces: ceilings, open-plan living areas, stairwells, long hallways and any room where the light rakes across the wall and would show roller texture. It also wins on speed, because a whole floor can be finished in the time it takes to roll two rooms, and on glass-fibre or renovation fleece wallpaper, where a sprayed coat fills the weave evenly.

Rolling is still the better choice for a single accent wall, a fully furnished room where extensive masking would cost more than it saves, or heavily textured surfaces. Spraying also needs more preparation: every window, floor, socket and piece of furniture is masked before we start. We assess the room honestly and often recommend a combination, such as spraying the ceiling and walls and finishing the woodwork by hand.

Kitchen cabinets, doors and furniture

A tired but solid kitchen does not need replacing. We remove the doors and drawer fronts, degrease and sand them, prime and spray them with a hard-wearing two-component lacquer, and refit them with the carcasses sprayed in place. The result looks like a new kitchen in any colour you choose, at a fraction of the disruption. Interior doors, wardrobe fronts and built-in cupboards get the same treatment.

New-build and whole-house projects

If you are buying a new-build home in Eindhoven or an apartment in the Paleiskwartier in Den Bosch, the walls and ceilings are usually handed over bare. Spraying the entire property before the furniture arrives is the fastest and cleanest way to get it move-in ready. Tell us your hand-over date and we schedule the work between key collection and moving day.

The same approach works after a renovation, when the dust has settled and the whole house needs a consistent, fresh finish in one go.

Masking, drying and what you get

We take care of all masking with film and tape, and remove it again when we leave. Water-based sprayed coatings are dry to the touch after 2 to 4 hours and fully cured within about 7 days. Every project starts with a free inspection and a written quote within 48 hours, and finishes with a 5-year warranty certificate on materials and workmanship.

We spray throughout Noord-Brabant, from our base in Den Bosch to Eindhoven, Tilburg and Breda; see the overview of all our English-language services. Request a free quote or read the Dutch version of this page: Spuitwerk.

Frequently asked questions

Is spray painting suitable for an occupied home?

Yes, provided the room is properly masked. We seal off the space, cover floors, windows and furniture, and use extraction where needed so the mist does not travel. Empty rooms are quicker, but a furnished house is no obstacle.

Does spraying look different from rolling?

Yes. A sprayed surface is completely uniform, with no roller texture or lap marks, which is especially visible on ceilings and walls with raking light. It is the finish you see in Dutch new-build homes.

Can you spray kitchen cabinets?

Yes. Doors and fronts are removed, prepared and sprayed with a two-component lacquer, and the carcasses are sprayed in place. The result is a smooth, durable, factory-style finish in any colour.

What does spray painting cost?

It depends on the surface area, the amount of masking, the number of coats and the paint system. We only quote after a free on-site inspection, and the written quote follows within 48 hours.

How soon can I use the room again?

Water-based coatings are dry to the touch after 2 to 4 hours, so you can usually walk through the same day. Full curing takes around 7 days; treat the surface gently until then.
